The Average Person
in the US gives only 2.1 percent to all charitable causes. The average Christian in America tithes 2.66 percent of his/her income to the church. If we assume that Christians are also giving the additional 2.1 percent of their income to charitable causes, that's still only 4.76 percent of their income - not even half of the Biblical tithe (Lev. 27:30-32)
